Within the framework of the Sustainable Tourism Destination Plan being developed by the La Selva County Council, a cycle of free seminars aimed at tourism entrepreneurs and local entities took place during the month of October to assist in the process of creating tourism products.

Improvements to the bike path along which the Tourdera of Passeig S’Abanell de Blanes passes
Blanes City Council, through the Aspronis Foundation, has carried out improvement works on the S’Abanell Promenade bike lane in Blanes, which runs from the Plaça dels Països Catalans to Avinguda del Mediterrani. This section, which coincides with the Tourdera path, represents a major improvement for the route! (Cover photo: Blanesaldia.com)
Route improvement actions in Palafolls, Blanes, Sant Esteve de Palautordera and Arbúcies
Following the reviews carried out on the route during the months of October and November, various maintenance actions have been performed, mainly focused on vegetation control at different points of the itinerary in Palafolls, Blanes, Sant Esteve de Palautordera, and Arbúcies, or on replacing damaged signage.

La desembocadura de la Tordera
The mouth of the Tordera River is one of the gems of the Tourdera territory which, fortunately, has managed to improve its status in recent years following Storm Gloria and the restriction of access to a large part of its extent. We have prepared a short article with information about this very interesting natural area, which we must all help to preserve.
The viewpoints at the mouth of the Tordera
As is well known, Storm Gloria strongly affected the entire Tordera river basin. But not only in a negative way (even today, works are being carried out to repair the damage), it also provided a great benefit to the river, such as the creation of the large coastal lagoon between Blanes and Malgrat de Mar, which was able to gain meters from the sea after many years. Thanks to this fact, the management of the space has changed, with access restrictions, a ban on swimming, and the creation of viewpoints to observe birds without interfering with their natural dynamics, among others.
Restoration of the Blanes sections
As you know, during the month of January, with the strong effects of Storm Gloria, the most significant incidents occurred throughout the lower Tordera area, especially in the municipalities of Blanes and Malgrat de Mar. In recent weeks, work has been finalizing in these municipalities, both on the Tordera river embankments and on the Pont d’en Pixota between Blanes and Malgrat.
Blanes – Malgrat de Mar section
We present a new active section of the Tourdera, this time between the municipalities of Blanes and Malgrat de Mar. In the previous news, we presented the first of the sections of the route that start from Blanes, specifically between Blanes and Palafolls, a section in which important work had to be carried out on the surface. Part of this same section coincides with the one that leads to Malgrat de Mar and here we present it to you!
Blanes – Palafolls section
Blanes has been the last municipality to finish the adaptation and signage work for the Tordera and Arbúcies stream route. We present here the section between Blanes and Palafolls, which has incorporated an important intervention on the GI-682 road bridge and the access to the train station, in addition to the entire signposting process for the route, which links these two towns with complete safety.
Completion of the works at La Tourdera
On June 28, all the adaptation and signage works for the sections of the Tordera and Arbúcies stream route in the municipalities of the Girona area were completed. Currently, you can enjoy the entire route, from the Font Bona in Sant Marçal to the mouth of the Tordera, both through Blanes and Malgrat, and descending along the Arbúcies stream or the main course of the Tordera.
