Improvements to the sections of the Tourdera in Sant Celoni

The Sant Celoni City Council has recently started different actions within the framework of the Tordera Route that will imply substantial improvements for the users of the itinerary. Broadly speaking, different sections of bicycle lanes will be enabled in paved urban sections and the surface will be improved in different sections of the track that, due to the rains, were in poor condition. The contract, awarded for a total value of 137,505.14 €, began on September 16th, and is expected to be completed in a month.

Riells and Viabrea section – La Batllòria

As we mentioned last week, the Tourdera has some routes that we call “link” routes, which are branches of the route itself that connect population centers near the Tordera, but are not located right next to the river itself. This is the case, for example, of the section we present today, which connects Riells i Viabrea with La Batllòria, from where you can access the main route.

Hostalric – La Batllòria Section

Continuing with the task of offering all the information on the new sections of the Tourdera, you can now download the tracks and get information on the section that links Hostalric with the center of La Batllòria (Sant Celoni). This section was one of the last sections of the route’s main itinerary, which can now be done from the source (Montseny) to the mouth (Malgrat de Mar or Blanes).

Popular inauguration event for the Tourdera

Last Saturday, July 7th, a popular inauguration activity for the Tourdera took place at the Pont Trencat, straddling the municipalities of Santa Maria de Palautordera, Sant Celoni, and Vallgorguina, with walks and bicycle rides, which despite the rain ended with a festive activity at the Pont Trencat with live music, tapas, etc.

Second active section of the Tordera Route!

Although we announced that it would not be until autumn, we have the good news to communicate that the Gualba Town Council has already been able to carry out the actions to make its section of the Tordera Route a reality. Specifically, this is the Gualba connecting itinerary, which allows you to go from the town of Gualba to the main route layout, in La Batllòria or Gualba de Baix.

Road surface improvement works in Sant Celoni

The Sant Celoni town council has already completed the first improvement works on the surface of the Tordera Route within its municipality. Specifically, the scope of work included repairing several water crossings over the surface, as well as improving a 400m section between the La Batllòria footbridge and the Les Llobateres wetland area.
