This November, we have begun the second annual review of the Tourdera to verify the condition of the route and detect any incidents along the itinerary and signage. Are you a company and would you like to participate in the Tourdera project?
The “Tordera and Arbúcies Stream Route” project is an initiative led by 18 town councils that, by offering a hiking and cycling route, aims to incentivize their local economies through the arrival of visitors to their municipalities. Currently, the project provides a directory of businesses to these municipalities’ companies in order to give visibility to these businesses to visitors. Would you like to participate in the directory?
Waste in the natural environment
Autumn is one of the times when we take the most getaways into nature, especially on weekends, to admire the changing of the season, its colors, fruits, etc., as we explained in this other article. However, with the influx of visitors to the natural environment, there also comes a greater volume of waste that unfortunately ends up, too often, in forests, streams, and roadsides. Therefore, taking advantage of the fact that this November we celebrate the European Week for Waste Reduction, we have prepared this article for you! Photo: Valeri Mark.

Actions aimed at tourism businesses
Within the framework of the Sustainable Tourism Destination Plan being developed by the La Selva County Council, a series of actions aimed at tourism entrepreneurs and local entities will take place during the second semester of this year, 2025, to make the territory where the County Council develops its projects more sustainable and of higher quality. Among these projects, therefore, are the “Tordera and Arbúcies Stream Route (Tourdera)”.
Semi-annual review of the Tourdera
Over the last few months, we have carried out a complete review of the entire route to check its condition, signage, etc. As always, after the review, we issue a detailed report to each of the 18 participating municipalities with everything we have detected so that solutions can be implemented.
