Why is it important to have your dog connected to nature?
Going out to enjoy the mountains with our pets, whether walking a section of the Tourdera route or exploring the Parc Natural del Montseny, is becoming an increasingly popular activity. However, this increase in visitors also brings responsibility: keeping your dog on a lead is essential to ensure coexistence and protect the natural environment. In response to the growing number of dogs off lead in protected areas, the authorities have launched awareness campaigns to prevent conflicts with wildlife and livestock activities.
Improvements to the signage on the route to Sant Celoni
During the month of February, the Sant Celoni Town Council carried out improvements to the Tourdera’s directional wayfinding signage throughout the municipality. Specifically, the work involved replacing the vinyls on several directional signs which, over the years, had begun to show signs of deterioration.
The ACA promotes a project for the environmental restoration of the Tordera in Fogars de la Selva
The Catalan Water Agency (ACA) has launched the tender process for drafting a project to restore the environment along a section of the Tordera River in Fogars de la Selva, between the municipality’s industrial estate and the AP-7 bridge and the confluence with the Santa Coloma stream, an area through which the Tourdera route runs.

Cycling along the Tourdera is a great way to enjoy and discover the area in a healthy, fun and sustainable way. However, it is essential to do so safely, both to protect ourselves and the other users of the route. Respecting traffic regulations, using the right equipment and maintaining a responsible attitude are key aspects for preventing accidents. In addition, in spaces shared with pedestrians and vehicles, it is important to adapt your speed and be aware of your surroundings. Cycling with caution not only guarantees a more pleasant experience, but also contributes to safer coexistence for everyone.
Tourdera monitoring committee in Fogars de Montclús
On 30 January, the annual Tourdera project monitoring and coordination committee was held in the municipality of Fogars de Montclús. This meeting brings together the 18 municipalities participating in the project to review the actions carried out during the year and discuss the main current and future issues affecting the route.
The Tordera route within the cross-border project Hydroscopia-REGEN
After a first event held on 11 December in the Plenary Hall of the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, on Wednesday 21 January the launch of the Hydroscopia Network was officially formalised in Canet-en-Roussillon. This is a cross-border working space from which the Hydroscopia – REGEN project has emerged and which will bring actions directly to the Tourdera.
Results of the latest review of the Tourdera
As we have already informed you on several occasions, the Tourdera Technical Office carries out two complete inspections of the route every year. This January, we processed all the data collected during the inspection carried out between October and November across all Tourdera sections distributed among the 18 participating municipalities.
