Blanes City Council, through the Aspronis Foundation, has carried out improvement works on the S’Abanell Promenade bike lane in Blanes, which runs from the Plaça dels Països Catalans to Avinguda del Mediterrani. Due to the works carried out in the access area to the Can Buscà industrial estate (Tordera), which were recently completed, some improvements to the Tourdera signage have been made by the Tordera town council to improve route tracking and safety for users.

Signage improvements in Tordera

On March 13th, the Tordera City Council carried out several improvements to the directional signaling of the route’s tracking banners throughout the municipality. Specifically, content on directional banners damaged by the passage of time was updated, and missing Tourdera identification plaques were replaced.

Although a few months ago we informed you that the works in the Can Buscà industrial estate area of Tordera were already finished, currently improvement works are being carried out on the access at this point. These works, which do not directly affect the passage of the route, involve a diversion from the original route layout, although you must circulate taking precautions.

For some months now, the section of the Tordera route through the Can Buscà area, in the municipality of Tordera, has been diverted from the original itinerary due to urban development works in the area. With the restoration of the original route, the signage has been reinforced with the installation of some directional vinyls identifying the Tourdera.

During the coming weeks, several meetings will take place at different points in the Tourdera territory, aimed at local companies that offer services to potential users of the route (accommodation, catering, activities, nature, guiding, sale/rental/repair of bicycles, etc.). As we mentioned a few weeks ago, at the end of August, the remodeling of the Tordera riverside promenade was inaugurated, between the Sardana park and the Fogars road, but some small details were still missing, such as the signage for bicycle and pedestrian lanes, among others.
