Tourdera follow-up and coordination meeting in Massanes
El invierno: una buena oportunidad para realizar los tramos más exigentes
As you know, the Tourdera presents an itinerary with different difficulties, with very easy and flat sections, but also with much longer routes with a lot of elevation gain. In winter, when the landscape changes again after all the autumn leaves have fallen, it can be a good time to do the more demanding sections, since the temperature and the sun will not be the limiting factors that we find in the summer season.
The Fountain of the Naiads
The Nymphs’ Fountain (Font de les Nàiades) is located along the Tordera route, near the Illes campsite, between the village of Montseny and the source of the Tordera (Font Bona). But do you know the history of this fountain and where its name comes from? We will try to explain it to you in this short article.
Press visit for the Tourdera
To promote the Tourdera, last Thursday, November 17, a visit was held with various media outlets with the aim of explaining the Tordera route and the Arbúcies stream to journalists, in person and on the ground. To do this, a small section of the Arbúcies route was chosen, along which part of the Arbúcies stream was followed to make the philosophy of the project known and to experience it.
New signage in some municipalities of La Tourdera
For some weeks now, some municipalities on the Tordera route, such as Fogars de la Selva, Massanes, Arbúcies, or Riells i Viabrea, have been carrying out signage improvements that will mean an improvement for the route, both in terms of monitoring and heritage interpretation.
The new Ramió footbridge is now a reality
During the summer, we informed you in an article that reconstruction works had begun on the Ramió footbridge, a historic bridge over the Tordera River where the Tourdera route passed before the Gloria storm, between the Les Llobateres wetland area and Hostalric. We have the good news to announce that this October the works have finished and the footbridge is now fully operational.
Autumn: a season of traditions and changes in the landscape
Autumn is one of the four seasons of the year in temperate zones which, astronomically, begins with the autumn equinox (in our region between September 22 and 23) and ends with the winter solstice (near December 21). Autumn is a time of major changes in the landscape, climate, etc., which makes it a “special” time to go on foot or bicycle trips that will fascinate us.

On October 7th, a presentation of the Tourdera open to the general public took place at the Enric Miralles library in Palafolls. During the talk, the route was introduced, but the project and its final goal as a territorial development project were also discussed in general terms.
