On March 15th and 16th, the Sant Esteve de Palautordera town council carried out various improvements to the Tourdera signage throughout its municipality. Specifically, the content of directional signs damaged by the passage of time was updated, and some milestones were replaced or relocated to improve the general tracking of the route.

Signage improvements in Tordera
On March 13th, the Tordera City Council carried out several improvements to the directional signaling of the route’s tracking banners throughout the municipality. Specifically, content on directional banners damaged by the passage of time was updated, and missing Tourdera identification plaques were replaced.
Results of the semi-annual route review
During these summer months, we have been carrying out a review of the entire Tourdera route and issuing reports to each of the maintenance managers in each municipality, in order to detect problems on the route and prepare it for autumn. We have prepared this short article with the most relevant results.
Completion of works at the Pas de la Tourdera in Can Buscà (Tordera)
For some months now, the section of the Tordera route through the Can Buscà area, in the municipality of Tordera, has been diverted from the original itinerary due to urban development works in the area. With the restoration of the original route, the signage has been reinforced with the installation of some directional vinyls identifying the Tourdera.
Modification of the route in the municipality of Fogars de Montclús
At the beginning of August, a small modification was made to the Tourdera route in the municipality of Fogars de Montclús. Specifically, the route has been simplified at a point between Mosqueroles and the Costa del Montseny, where there was a variant for hikers and one for bicycles, which have now been combined into a single path.

During the month of June, the Sant Celoni City Council carried out an improvement project for the urban directional signs used for route following. Specifically, these were directional signs in the urban environment that were experiencing problems with their vinyl overlays.
Modification of the route in La Batllòria
In recent weeks, a small modification has been made to the Tourdera route in La Batllòria, within the municipality of Sant Celoni. Specifically, this change has been made to prevent bicycles from passing through areas where it is currently not permitted and, at the same time, to solve directional issues.
New location of the Tourdera information panel at the Blanes river mouth.
This week, the route information panel, which was located at the river mouth, has been moved. Specifically, the panel was in its old location, currently inaccessible to the public, as the area is closed to pedestrians as a measure to preserve the environment. The panel has now been relocated to the viewpoint area, along with other interpretive elements.
Results of the latest review of the Tourdera
Since the end of December, and during the month of January, we have been carrying out reviews of the Tourdera and issuing reports to each of the maintenance managers, in order to detect problems on the route and be able to prepare it for the arrival of good weather.
New signage in some municipalities of La Tourdera
For some weeks now, some municipalities on the Tordera route, such as Fogars de la Selva, Massanes, Arbúcies, or Riells i Viabrea, have been carrying out signage improvements that will mean an improvement for the route, both in terms of monitoring and heritage interpretation.
