This November, we have started the second annual review of the Tourdera in order to verify the state of the route and detect any incidents on the itinerary and signage. From the La Selva County Council, as project coordinators, we carry out two complete reviews of the entire route annually and send all detected incidents to the maintenance managers of each municipality.

La Tourdera is already an ORG member of wikiloc
As you know, for years, the Tourdera has had all the tracks of the route sections uploaded to the Wikiloc portal, a digital platform with more than 2 million users that was born in Catalonia. It is a tool that allows you to store and share outdoor, georeferenced routes, as well as associated points of interest, shown on various base maps such as Google Maps, Open Street Map, topographic maps, orthophoto maps, etc.

Although a few months ago we informed you that the works in the Can Buscà industrial estate area of Tordera were already finished, currently improvement works are being carried out on the access at this point. These works, which do not directly affect the passage of the route, involve a diversion from the original route layout, although you must circulate taking precautions.
Signage improvements in the municipality of Montseny
On October 18th, the Montseny City Council carried out an improvement action on the directional signage for the route’s tracking banners throughout the municipality. Specifically, these were directional banners in the rural environment (natural park signage), which were having problems with the vinyl stickers.
The Tourdera at Punt Avui
On October 18th, the newspaper Punt Avui published, in both its paper and digital editions, a report on the “Ruta de la Tordera i riera d’Arbúcies (Tourdera)”, highlighting key aspects of the route such as the fact that it connects the Montseny and the Mediterranean, the good train connections to access the route, its focus on the economic development of the municipalities through which it passes, etc.
The route in Riells and Viabrea has been restored
For a few months now, the Tourdera route through the municipality of Riells i Viabrea was diverted at a small point between Avinguda Ferrocarril and Carrer de Santa Fe (Alba de Liste), as a consequence of road improvement works within the municipality.

El pasado 13 de octubre tuvo lugar, en la Masía Can Figueres de Gualba, una presentación del proyecto “Ruta de la Tordera i riera d’Arbúcies”, abierta a la ciudadanía en general. Durante la charla se dio a conocer la ruta, pero también se habló de forma general del proyecto y de su objetivo final como proyecto de desarrollo territorial.

On September 22nd, we officially entered the astronomical autumn, which will last until December 21st with the winter solstice. Throughout this period, we will observe significant changes in the landscape and the weather, and if you take the opportunity to do any section of the Tourdera, you will surely capture a postcard-worthy image!
Results of the semi-annual route review
During these summer months, we have been carrying out a review of the entire Tourdera route and issuing reports to each of the maintenance managers in each municipality, in order to detect problems on the route and prepare it for autumn. We have prepared this short article with the most relevant results.
Completion of works at the Pas de la Tourdera in Can Buscà (Tordera)
For some months now, the section of the Tordera route through the Can Buscà area, in the municipality of Tordera, has been diverted from the original itinerary due to urban development works in the area. With the restoration of the original route, the signage has been reinforced with the installation of some directional vinyls identifying the Tourdera.
