On February 2nd, a group of 19 cyclists guided by the “Va de bici” group gathered at Maçanet-Massanes station to begin a descent along the Tourdera Route. The Grup Vadebici is an entity that promotes “Slow-Biking”, which is the practice of cycling without rush and while enjoying the landscape.

Temporary detour between the broken bridge and the C-61 road (Vallgorguina link)
The section of the Tourdera that connects the main route itinerary with the village of Vallgorguina has a small part of the route temporarily out of service. Specifically, the affected section is located between the Pont Trencat area, situated between the municipalities of Sant Celoni and Santa Maria de Palautordera, and the C-61 road.
Construction work begins on an ornithological park in Riells and Viabrea
As part of the deployment of one of the actions of the Sustainable Tourism Plan for the Destination (PSTD) of Inner La Selva, in the first week of February, construction began on what will be the “Riells i Viabrea Ornithological Park”, located in the 1st of October park, which is signposted from the Tourdera and is approximately 200 meters away.
Modification of route and improvements to signage in Vallgorguina
This January, various improvement works on the Tourdera were completed in the municipality of Vallgorguina, which have incorporated both a small modification to the route and a general improvement of the signage throughout the municipality. These actions represent a substantial improvement to the user experience when taking the route.
Road closed due to construction in Hostalric
As part of the deployment of one of the actions of the Sustainable Tourism Plan for the Destination (PSTD) of Inner La Selva – Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, on January 14th, works began in the municipality of Hostalric for the adaptation of the so-called “Camí al Molí” (Mill Path), belonging to a section of the Tourdera.

Tourdera Monitoring Committee in Fogars de la Selva
On January 14th, the annual monitoring and coordination meeting for the “Tordera Route and Arbúcies Stream” project took place in the municipality of Fogars de la Selva. As you know, these meetings take place periodically with the 18 municipalities participating in the project and serve to share all the actions carried out in recent months, as well as providing a space for debate for the various project participants.
The passage along the bike lane on Avda. de la Serra in Santa Maria de Palautordera has been restored.
In mid-December, passage was restored on the bike lane of Avinguda de la Serra in Santa Maria de Palautordera, which had been out of service for the last 4 months, forcing route users to use the road in the case of bicycles or the sidewalk in the case of pedestrians.
Route improvement actions in Palafolls, Blanes, Sant Esteve de Palautordera and Arbúcies
Following the reviews carried out on the route during the months of October and November, various maintenance actions have been performed, mainly focused on vegetation control at different points of the itinerary in Palafolls, Blanes, Sant Esteve de Palautordera, and Arbúcies, or on replacing damaged signage.
Improvements to the route in Tordera
Due to the works carried out in the access area to the Can Buscà industrial estate (Tordera), which were recently completed, some improvements to the Tourdera signage have been made by the Tordera town council to improve route tracking and safety for users.
