Just as we informed you a few days ago, the Tordera Route and Arbúcies stream (Tourdera) is an itinerary that follows the course of the Tordera River and the Arbúcies stream in practically its entirety, but there are also some links to the route from towns near the river, as is the case of Gualba, Massanes, Breda or Vallgorguina. Last Saturday, June 11, at 12 noon, the long-awaited inauguration of the footbridge over the Tordera River took place in the Serra neighborhood of Santa Maria de Palautordera. Activities of the Vadebici group for the Tourdera
As we informed you a few months ago, the Grup Vadebici is an entity that promotes Slow-Biking, that is, the practice of cycling without rushing and enjoying the landscape. Among its activities, at the beginning of this 2022, the entity organized 3 outings along the Tordera route that brought together people from different parts of the Catalan geography, from Barcelona to Tarragona, passing through towns in the Maresme and the Vallès.
The Llobateres wetland area
The Les Llobateres wetland area is an enclave located in the municipality of Sant Celoni, also very close to the municipalities of Riells i Viabrea, Sant Feliu de Buixalleu, Hostalric, and Fogars de la Selva. The route of the Tourdera passes precisely through this space which, as you will see, comes from an old human activity that was converted into a space for the flora and fauna of humid environments.

The Grup Vadebici, an entity that promotes Slow-Biking, i.e., the practice of cycling without rush and enjoying the landscape, has planned several outings along the Tordera route for the beginning of 2022, as part of the outings it organizes periodically along bike lanes, greenways, rural roads, etc.

The crossing over the Santa Coloma stream in Massanes has been reopened.
One of the pending works that remained to be resolved after the Gloria storm was the repair of the ford over the Santa Coloma stream at the height of the Maçanet – Massanes train station. This meant that the section of the route between the station and the town of Massanes was closed to pedestrians, as it was necessary to cross the stream directly over the riverbed. Since October 15, it has been possible to cross this point without problems, and therefore, the section is restored.
